ABOUT
Imogen Teasley-Vlautin is a composer, songwriter, producer, and multimedia artist from Los Angeles. They’ve scored films and installations that have shown at institutions such as the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the Kennedy Center, Museum of the African Diaspora SF, SOMArts, and LA Forum for Architecture, and they have performed at venues such as The Strand Theater, the Contemporary Jewish Museum, and the Exploratorium. Their work has been highlighted in publications such as Fact Mag, SF Weekly, and KQED. They were a recent artist-in-residence at This Will Take Time, and will be a 2023 music resident at Pioneer Works. They have a BA in music composition with an emphasis in electronic music and media technology from Mills College, where they studied percussion with William Winant. They recently released an original score for the 1937 film Glens Falls Sequence by Douglas Crockwell, commissioned by Smartbomb x Loud Cinema. Imogen is now dedicating their energy to songwriting and production and they’re working towards sharing the sounds they’ve been honing for the last couple years.
